  There're a bunch good churches near Fairfax, but this one's mine, and I love it.
  
  By way of background: I've been a part of this church for nearly 20 years. I joined as a young professional, having recently moved into the area. I then married a lovely lady who, like me, found it a place worth joining after college, and am now there raising kids into their teen years.
  
  I've seen a lot during this time: personal highs and lows, tragedies among family and friends, changes in leadership, membership, organization, and affiliation. And mistakes, to be sure (my own mistakes and those of others).
  
  But through it all, I've known loads of folks (hundreds, probably) who are sincere, caring, and humble. Above all, these folks have been transformed by the gospel of Jesus Christ: they're thankful for God's forgiveness, and passionate to know and follow Jesus by listening to his Spirit and living in line with God's word.
  
  In this church, people worship God with passion, leaders teach the Scriptures eagerly, and people love to fellowship and help each other out--on Sunday mornings, in small groups, and throughout daily life.
  
  For over 7 years, I've been heavily involved with the ministry to children up through 4th grade, and I'm convinced it's extremely safe and well-executed. I'm now involved with the teenage ministry, and the love and fun being shared by all is just fantastic.
  
  It's not perfect, of course. But it's welcoming, sincere, faithful, and God-exalting.

  This has been my church home for nearly 30 years. I have always appreciated the solid Biblical teaching, commitment to fellowship and fervent desire to see the name of Jesus glorified. I have seen godly men continue in fruitful ministry despite malicious slander and frivolous accusations. I have seen humility and a long-suffering desire for reconciliation. My adult children, who have been raised in this church, are committed followers of Jesus who love His word and His people.

  As an international student from overseas, I am happy to have found a place I can call HOME! The sermons are well crafted, and faithful to the text. And the community feels like family!

  This place is a CULT , don't let a name change or the constant attempts by this church to censor people fool you. They are heavy into shepherding and very intrusive & controlling into the lives of the members. They are famous for causing division between family members and turning adult children who attend here against their parents. If you have a child going here, get them out even if extreme measures are necessary. If you must hire a cult intervention team that specializes retrieving & deprogramming your family member DO IT WHILE YOU CAN. THESE people, mainly the "church" staff and small group leaders will destroy your family. It's all about control and $$$$$$ with these people. They want control of you so they can vacuum your wallet of every last dollar. The love bombing when you visit ( they show unusual interest in newbies and its a group effort) is an orchestrated approach at recruiting through manipulation. Once you are in, you slowly find things out, like the child molestation that occurs, and emotional abuse of members.
  
  No cult says upfront: we are going to alienate your children from you and true religion, isolate you from non-cult family and friends, ruin your life and steal your money through clever deceit , devious influence and manipulation BUT THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT THIS PLACE WILL DO TO YOU. They have destroyed so many families over the years that it's just heartbreaking. Please google Sovereign Grace and research the place before you visit because this church will HURT YOU.
